Technology in Medicine

Technology can help or hinder our ability to treat patients. ACP is leading the way toward skillful integration of the newest technology into medical practice to ensure optimal patient care.

From the stethoscope to the MRI, each generation’s new technology has improved our ability to treat patients. Yet, without proper guidance, technology can do as much harm as good.  Maintaining a focus on the human connection is central to the practice of good medicine is the role of the physician.  ACP is committed to ensuring that technology implementation policies remain physician- and patient-centric, and to providing our members with the support they need to adapt to and grow with the opportunities new technology offers.

With your support and ACP's leadership, we will ensure that the focus on the human connection shapes technology advancements and applications.
