Medical Student and Resident win at 2021 ACP National Abstract Competition

Congratulations to the following members for their award-winning Virtual Presentations:

Justin S Bauzon - Initial Development and Evaluation of an Algorithm for Identifying Inappropriate Lab Orders (Medical Student category)

Rajkumar Doshi, MD (pictured) - Early Intervention versus Conservative Management for Asymptomatic Severe Aortic Stenosis: Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (Resident/Fellow category). Dr. Kumar recently finished his residency training and is now completing a Cardiovascular disease fellowship at St. Joseph University Medical Center.

Nevada Chapter receives 2021 Chapter Excellence Gold Award

We are pleased to announce that our chapter is in receipt of the Gold Level of the 2021 Chapter Excellence Award! The award recognizes truly extraordinary chapters that surpass excellence in chapter management. We are in the company of 44 other outstanding chapters. Thank you to those chapter members who assisted us in all of these endeavors! For their hard work and dedication, we received this award.

Member News

Sandhya Wahi-Gururaj, MD, FACP

Dr. Sandhya Wahi, who received a national grant from ACP for community faculty physician development, is leading an educational series in conjunction with our Nevada ACP Chapter and successfully launched the series in January with the webinar “ACP and Pediatrics Community Faculty Development Series: Effective and Efficient Precepting in the Ambulatory Setting”. Dr. Wahi has been a leader in our Chapter for many years, having served as program planning chair for a number of meetings and has also won multiple awards, including our Laureate Award.
